Job Summary
As a Senior SDE within the AWS Builder Experience Test Reporting team you will own Amazons internal software test reporting platform and the challenge to reduce test failures and test flakiness Amazon wide. You will build GenAI tools that will accelerate internal service teams ability to innovate and provide value to customers.
Key job responsibilities
Leading Test Reporting projects that require work of multiple engineers.
Owning teams architecture and being a key influencer in team strategy and goals.
Making space for others to voice their views and able to build consensus on the best path forward.
You drive adoption of engineering best practices on your team.
You actively coach or mentor engineers.
You work on problems where the customer case is defined but the technology strategy may not yet be defined.
You work to clearly understand the problems youre solving before moving on to solutions.
You understand the business impact of your systems and show good judgment.
You work on problems with multiple risks and roadblocks using solutions that are as simple as possible
You create the right checkpoints to ensure a successful delivery.
You effectively communicate your technical designs and decisions in writing.
You work efficiently and routinely deliver the right things without guidance.
Your personal coding practices are exemplary.
You make existing systems and solutions simpler.
You balance speed of delivery and foundation for the future.
Your work prioritizes long-term results
You work to resolve the root cause of endemic problems
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
