An opportunity has become available for a senior registered nurse leader to step into the EN Graduate Coordinator role on a permanent basis.
About the Role
Working with the education team and specifically the other graduate coordinators this role focuses on supporting and developing our Enrolled Nurse graduates. Responsibilities include:
Mentoring supporting and coordinating the EN Graduate Program including study days
Providing expert clinical and academic advice to managers and staff on graduate learning
Working collaboratively with department and education staff who have graduates in their areas
Promotion marketing recruitment and retention of graduate nurses
Performance development and management of graduate nurses as required
Assistance with other education program offerings where required and willingness to work across our four acute care private sites
About You
Essential
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
Knowledge of Enrolled Nurse Standards
Knowledge of current trends and challenges with graduate nurse programs
Experience working with and supporting early career nurses
Sound clinical knowledge to support early career nurses across a variety of clinical settings
Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Highly developed performance development and management skills
Desirable
Previous nursing education experience
Managing education programs ideally with an early career nurse focus
Post-graduate qualification (or working towards)
