Job Summary
Primary Purpose Of Position
Aggie Academy substitute teachers will work with grades 3-5 students. The Aggie Academy Substitute Teacher plans and delivers instruction designed to meet the individualized educational needs of students based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Instruction will enable students to learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. Substitute Teachers utilize a personalized student data management system to individualize learning experiences for students designed to help them reach their fullest potential. Ongoing formative assessments provide necessary data to inform instructional decisions and design appropriate interventions. Teachers operate as members of the schools kinship network extended family unit. The kinship network supports the growth and development of all students. Staff actively participate as members of professional learning communities with colleagues and faculty from the College of Education. Temporary pools are open quarterly. For consideration for future pools applicants will need to reapply.
Preferred Years Experience Skills Training Education
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in education or a related field and teacher licensure.
