Job Summary
SUMMARY
The Supervisor Productionis responsible fordirecting and coordinating activities that support the production of Kollmorgen products. This positionis responsible fortheday-to-daymanagement of a group of associates as well as meeting dailymedium- and long-termgoals aligned with the overall strategy of the business. Key goals for the manufacturing supervisor are safety quality on time deliveryproductivityand inventory. This position will be joining theKollmorgenMCSteam in Radford is part ofRegal Rexnord(AMCRRX).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily:
- In alignment with businessobjectivesestablishproduction and quality control standardsdevelop budget and cost controls andobtaindataregardingtypes quantities specifications and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Plans and directs production activities andestablishesproduction priorities for products.
- Coordinates production activities with procurement maintenance and quality control activities to obtainoptimumproduction andutilizationof human resources machines and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production quality control maintenance and operational data todeterminecauses of nonconformity with product specificationsoperatingor production problems.
- Supports and implements a Lean Manufacturing structure in all production areas.
- Revise production schedules and priorities as neededdue to equipment failure or other production problems.
- Manages performance of direct labor associates including developmentpromotionand disciplinary procedures.
- Responsible for achieving area and cell metrics and driving countermeasures and action plans whereappropriate toachieve goals.
- Ensure associatescomply withCompany policies andprocedures included but not limited to Environmental Health and Safety.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilitiesrequiredto perform this job:
- Bachelors degree or high school diploma plus minimum of3 yearsexperience in manufacturingrequired. Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Previousexperience in leadership or management preferred.
- Proven excellent analytical skillsrequired.
- Proven ability to deliver results and meet goals isrequired.
- Work well with others and have the ability to lead others.
