As an Electrical Supervisor you will play a crucial part in all electrical aspects of building and maintaining our 42-mile Dune Express conveyor system. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for adhering to all OSHA and MSHA standards while performing all job duties.
Responsibilities
- Lead your team in safety complying with OSHA MSHA and company policies and procedures.
- Work with outside Engineering firms to design new electrical equipment.
- Travel to various vendor locations and for audits and meetings. This will be more so during the design and construction phase.
- Review understand redline and update electrical schematics drawings one lines e-houses layouts
- Lead a team of field electricians on day-to-day task such as inspections PMs trouble shooting reporting
- Review and approve time sheets vacation request POs and invoices.
- Attend training and certification courses required by the company.
- Developing maintaining and reporting on budgets both for OPEX and CAPEX
- Engaging with third party vendors for quotes and lead times
- Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards and annual testing on electrical equipment.
- In conjunction with senior supervision may plan staff and organize field/shop positions.
- Interacts with project management engineering estimating and planning to ensure work complies with contract requirements drawings specifications and schedule.
- Responsible for resolving direct report s issues (lack of productivity safety quality work interfaces rework) as required.
- Assist in obtaining personnel through Human Resources/Recruiting or network (as necessary).
- Assess work completion. Create punch lists.
- Advise senior level supervision of potential problems work interference schedule difficulties. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman Electrical License with minimum 5 years industrial experience
- Minimum 5 years field leadership in industrial electrical
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Required to stand; walk; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl sit and climb or balance
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Capable of working Monday through Friday 6:00 am 6:00 pm
- Room and board provided at or near the location of the job
- Must be able to tolerate working conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat
