Southwest General Health Center is a 352-bed community hospital located in Middleburg Heights Ohio. One of the last standing community hospitals in Northeast Ohio we partner with University Hospitals and other local community organizations to provide a full range of services to all who need us. We are certified as a Level III Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center and have been serving our community for over 100 years!

RADIOLOGY AND DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES FOR GREATER CLEVELAND
Southwest General Health Center offers state-of-the-art imaging technology to support accurate timely diagnosis and treatment. Procedures include a wide range of services from basic x-ray studies to sophisticated real-time imaging of the heart. We offer comprehensive imaging services at multiple locations: Middleburg Heights Strongsville and Brunswick.
SONOGRAPHER
POSITION SUMMARY:
The sonographer will perform general ultrasound exams that include OB/GYN abdomen small parts breast interventional and pediatrics. The primary duties will include:
- Collects and documents medical history from patient.
- Utilizes the RIS system for obtaining previous studies and reports.
- Consults with radiologists to ensure appropriate procedure and process is followed.
- Provides professional safe and compassionate care for all patients.
- Have the ability to be proactive to safeguard any potential adverse events.
- Assist with departmental operations patient workflow and scheduling.
- Knowledgeable of PACS OB reporting system EMR and teleradiology.
- Mentors students from contracted sonography schools.
- Ability to float to respective off-site locations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Must be a graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Sonography school.
Required length of experience:
One (1) year of hospital experience preferred but not required.
Required licensure certification and/or registry:
ARDMS required (Students must obtain registry one year after hire).
CPR certification required.
