Job Details:
Mercer University is searching for an Academic Support Services Coordinator for the College of Pharmacy on the Atlanta Georgia campus.Responsibilities:
The Academic Support Services Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative academic and operational support to the Associate Deans Director of Assessment Director of Finance and Administration and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy. This role manages the Colleges Academic Success Program including tutor recruitment and training scheduling technology oversight and program evaluation. The position also supports academic affairs functions such as course scheduling student enrollment management communications faculty advising processes and curriculum support.
Additionally this position assists with research support activities assessment and accreditation tasks financial and procurement processes contract management and faculty data reporting. The Coordinator may supervise student workers and provides supplemental executive and administrative support to the Dean as needed.
Qualifications:
Two years of college coursework and two years of administrative support experience to include working with databases and customer service are lieu of education equivalent directly relevant experience will be considered.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of administrative/business management to function effectively in the position.
Organizational skills and project management.
Analytical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to learn new software if not already proficient e.g ExamSoft Anthology and Canvas Learning Management System.
Ability to independently determine logistics (organize and anticipate problems in advance and prepare solutions) when planning large events involving approximately 250 or more people.
Excellent grammar and punctuation.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Ability to accurately code expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
Ability to read and comprehend information and ideas presented in writing and ability to listen understand and interpret Information/ideas presented verbally.
Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to work independently take initiative and solve problems within the roles scope are essential for success in this position.
Strong ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft (Windows Word Excel Access PowerPoint) and a learning management system.
