Job Description
POSITION: SPI Lodging Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS: Current student at Eastern Mennonite University (Graduate or Undergraduate)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lodging Coordination & Administration
- Plan coordinate and oversee all on-campus lodging arrangements for SPI participants.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lodging records (database/spreadsheet) ensuring all assignments and changes are clearly documented and communicated.
- Track and manage special lodging needs coordinating with appropriate university offices to ensure accommodations are met.
- Support lodging needs for SPI instructors guest speakers and other program guests in collaboration with CJP Operations Manager and Director of Programs.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate with SPI participants to coordinate and document arrival/departure times and collaborate with Community Assistants to ensure timely check-in/check-out processes.
- Communicate regularly with Auxiliary Services and Community Assistants regarding room assignments changes and turnover needs to ensure timely cleaning and linen provision.
- Collaborate with SPI staff to ensure smooth transitions during participant arrivals and departures.
- Work closely with administrative staff to support accurate billing for all on-campus lodging stays.
Program Support
- Assist with the setup of dormitories and classrooms prior to the start of SPI.
- Support end-of-program responsibilities including coordination of dorm and classroom clean-up.
- Collect and organize participant evaluations at the end of each session.
- Provide additional support to SPI programs and activities as needed in collaboration with the broader SPI team.
POSITION DETAILS: Summer Student Campus Employment (40 hours/week) for five weeks from May 13th June 16th 2025.
