Job Summary
Primary Purpose Of Position
The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses conducting cutting-edge and funded research student advising mentoring and recruitment curriculum development producing scholarly products and all other activities required for a successful academic career. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to engaging in accreditation procedures program assessment and service to the department College and University as needed. This is a 9-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Minimum Requirements
PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering area is required. A sincere commitment to excellence in teaching and an ability to conduct high quality externally funded research in an area of chemical biochemical or biomedical engineering must be demonstrated.
Preferred Years Experience Skills Training Education
Preferred research areas are artificial intelligence chemical process control and modeling. Candidates must be willing and able to teach core chemical engineering courses in thermodynamics transport processes process control and reaction engineering. Post-doctoral experience is desirable.
