Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports nursing staff in delivering patient care by assisting with daily activities monitoring patient status and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment in a recovery room setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene mobility and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient status
- Support nursing staff with basic patient care tasks
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities
- Assist in transporting patients within the facility
- Ensure patient rooms and care areas are clean and organized
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families
- Follow safety infection control and hospital protocols
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nursing Attendant or Patient Care Technician
- Completion of an approved Patient Care Associate/Technician training program
- Ability to read write and speak fluent English
