Job Summary

The primary objective of the Workshop Manager is to manage locomotive or wagon workshops in Phnom Penh and associated warehouses. The role coordinates and facilitates preventative maintenance corrective maintenance and servicing of railway equipment and machinery. The Workshop Manager also supports the implementation of policies procedures work instructions risk assessments training and statistical reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of operations
  • Encourage employee engagement in safety health risk management environmental compliance and quality
  • Participate in rail safety SHREQ and external audits
  • Support implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS) by identifying and managing risks
  • Participate in rolling stock safety compliance and environmental audits
  • Manage locomotive and wagon maintenance to meet operational needs within budget
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with required competencies
  • Coordinate pre-acceptance audits for new operations and equipment
  • Manage and analyze data related to rolling stock performance and KPIs
  • Lead accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions
  • Manage recovery from rail safety incidents and accidents
  • Handle operational and personnel-related issues escalated by team members

  • Ensuring all maintenance and projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Managing inventory equipment and materials effectively
  • Promoting workplace safety and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring staff are trained and competent
  • Maintaining a high-performance and quality-driven culture
  • Diligent honest and safety-focused
  • Good communication in Khmer and English
  • Technical Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role
  • As per Delegation of Authority guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free workshop environment
  • Achieve zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI)
  • Ensure staff comply with uniform and PPE policies
  • Promote a strong safety culture
