Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Full Time
Pay Range: $44.25 $61.96 per hour
Bonuses: $10000 Sign-On Bonus (for candidates with 3 years CLS experience)
Shift: (12-hour Night) or (Variable 10 hour shifts)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our this role you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests and play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results that directly impact patient care.
You will work across multiple laboratory departments including Chemistry Hematology Blood Bank Microbiology Serology Urinalysis and Coagulation supporting a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform waived moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct and document daily quality control procedures ensuring compliance with standards
- Perform preventive maintenance calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
- Accurately analyze and report test results including critical values to physicians and care teams
- Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist in supervising laboratory operations in the absence of leadership
- Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and laboratory staff
- Participate in on-call rotations holidays and emergency/disaster response as required
Patient Population
You will support testing and diagnostics for a broad range of patients including:
- Newborns and pediatric patients
- Adolescents and adults
- Geriatric patients
- Internal staff physicians and the broader community
Qualifications
Education & Training:
- Bachelors degree in a science-related field
- Completion of a California-approved CLS training program (1 year)
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience (CLS Trainee Program completion required)
- 3 years experience preferred for sign-on bonus eligibility
Licensure:
- Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License (Required)

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to interpret technical procedures reports and data
Work Environment & Expectations
- Must be able to work nights weekends holidays and on-call shifts
- Expected to respond during emergencies and community disasters as required
