About the role: We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team in the Banking sector being responsible for end to end delivery of AI BI & Advanced analytics solutions data governance and quality.
Location & Work Setup: The position is based in the Bucharest Office near Grozavesti metro station with a flexible hybrid way of working.
Responsibilities:
Uncover patterns and hidden relationships within large datasets empowering strategic and operational decision-making
Design and implement machine learning and AI techniques to transform raw data into actionable insights that address business challenges and opportunities
Effectively convey insights and the impact of analytical models to stakeholders through clear visualizations reports and presentations
Advocate for the strategic use of data across the organization fostering a data-driven culture through education collaboration and communication
Build and maintain efficient scalable data pipelines and workflows within the Databricks platform to support real-time and batch data processing
Continuously explore advancements in machine learning AI and big data technologies to enhance analytical capabilities and bring innovative solutions to the organization
What are we looking for:
Strong background in Mathematics Statistics Data Science or related field (MSc/PhD preferred)
5 years of experience in machine learning data science or AI project delivery
Proficiency in Python PySpark SQL and Databricks
Solid understanding of ML algorithms (tree-based linear models clustering anomaly detection recommendation systems etc.)
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
Exposure to banking/financial services data is a strong advantage
Nice-to-have:
Familiarity with MLOps practices (MLflow CI/CD for ML)
