General Summary:

Astronics Test Systems is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with focus on analog and power supply circuits to join our team. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic radio test engineering environment contributing to the design development and testing of advanced analog electrical systems. This position requires strong analytical skills proficiency in analog circuit design and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Design PCBs digital analog RF power subsystems
Design schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools (e.g. Altium).
Design FPGAs.

Testing and Validation:

Implement DVT testing on PCBAs ensuring compliance with performance and reliability standards.
Utilize laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers and network analyzers for testing and debugging.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power supply performance EMI/EMC thermal management and reliability.

Documentation:

Develop detailed design documentation test instructions and procedures.
Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate PCBAs into system level product designs.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and incorporate relevant innovations into design practices.
Participate in design reviews providing technical expertise and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 12 years of experience in PCB design
Minimum 10 years of FPGA design
Experience with electronic design tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent.
Experience with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/EMI) and Environmental requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be a US person.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with RF testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
