Reporting to the Facilities Operations and Project Manager the Maintenance Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe efficient and reliable operation of all facility structures equipment and surrounding grounds. This role performs a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks including building repairs preventive maintenance minor electrical and plumbing work HVAC support and upkeep of exterior grounds. The technician monitors facility conditions responds to work order requests and assists in maintaining a clean orderly and compliant work environment.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC equipment lighting plumbing and general facility infrastructure.
Conduct inspections to identify needed repairs safety hazards and opportunities for improvement ensuring timely resolution.
Maintain the grounds including landscaping walkways parking areas and exterior building features to keep the property safe and presentable.
Assist with repairs such as drywall painting flooring doors hardware and minor carpentry projects.
Support facility operations by ensuring equipment rooms mechanical areas electrical roomsand common spaces are clean organized and accessible.
Respond to maintenance work orders and emergencies promptly while communicating status updates to supervisors and management.
Collaborate with contractors vendors and other internal departments as required for repairs inspections or project work.
Follow all safety regulatory and company procedures while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed.
Provide general support for special projects facility upgrades and event setup when needed.
Willingness to work flexible hours and provide shift coverage as needed.
Promotes safety in the work area by understanding and following safety procedures and reporting all accidents in a timely manner. Ensures that contractors follow all company policies and carries out the safety program.
Responsible for Quality and Food Safety functions (reporting all quality and food safety concerns/issues to QA) as assigned and outlined in Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program.
Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of this role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
Preferred -3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; food industry
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical electrical and automation systems.
Experience with CMMS (Somax) systems and preventive maintenance programs.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and manuals.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient ability to communicate with clients internal and external.
Proficient organizational skills and multi-tasking of projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
Working knowledge of mathematical statistical and financial skills and understanding.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb balance taste or smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 25 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds with assistance from co-worker and/or mechanic devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May require use of equipment in machine shop small portable equipment and manual tools. Duties may require occasional operation of a motor vehicle or travel to another state on behalf of the company.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. Noise level is usually moderate.
