We are seeking a highly organized and professional School Receptionist to join a thriving and inclusive school community in Hounslow. As the face of the school you will be the first point of contact for parents visitors and a borough known for its incredible diversity and global connections near Heathrow this role requires someone with exceptional communication skills and a heart for service.
Core Responsibilities
Front of House Excellence: Providing a warm professional welcome to all visitors ensuring the reception area remains tidy organized and representative of the schools high standards.
Communication Management: Handling a busy switchboard with efficiencydirecting calls taking accurate messages and managing the general school email inbox.
Safeguarding & Security: Managing the visitor sign-in system (e.g. Inventry) and ensuring all guests are issued with the correct ID badges in line with strict safeguarding protocols.
Administrative Support: Assisting the wider office team with data entry on the schools Management Information System (SIMS Bromcom or Arbor) including attendance monitoring and basic report generation.
Student Services: Acting as a central hub for student enquiries managing lost property and providing basic first aid coordination (training provided if necessary).

Candidate Profile
Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume reception or administrative role (experience within an educational or clinical setting is a distinct advantage).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and the ability to learn school-specific databases quickly.
Communication: Flawless spoken and written English with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations with diplomacy and grace.
Character: A can-do attitude a high level of discretion regarding sensitive information and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
