We are seeking a proactive Admin Assistant to join a friendly and dedicated support staff team in Wigan. Located in a town famous for its strong community ties and industrial history this school prides itself on providing a warm structured environment for both students and staff. This is a vital role that ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of the schools engine room.


Core Responsibilities

  • General Administration: Providing comprehensive clerical support including word processing photocopying filing and managing the schools internal and external post.

  • Data Management: Maintaining accurate student and staff records on the schools Management Information System (SIMS Arbor or Bromcom) ensuring all data is handled in strict accordance with GDPR.

  • Financial Assistance: Supporting the School Business Manager with basic financial tasks such as processing orders checking deliveries and managing small-scale petty cash transactions.

  • Event Coordination: Assisting in the organization of school events parents evenings and open daysfrom preparing digital invitations to coordinating logistical requirements.

  • Communication Support: Drafting professional correspondence to parents and external agencies and managing the schools central telephone system during peak periods.
