Job Summary

In partnership with our client we are seeking a Sales and amp; Operations Associate to be the face the closer and the enabler of a fast-growing AI-native commerce platform. This is not a desk role. You will be out in the field finding businesses having real conversations demonstrating real value and walking customers all the way from their first interaction with the product to their first live this role you will own the full cycle from identifying the right prospects to closing the deal setting them up on the platform and making sure they are actually using it and winning with it. Who are we looking for
  • You are a field sales professional with at least 2 years of experience in a Sales Business Development or Sales and Operations role with a proven track record of closing customers and driving adoption.
  • You are comfortable owning the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying leads all the way through to onboarding and activation. You are disciplined results-driven and do not need to be chased to hit your numbers.
  • You set your own pace and hold yourself accountable.
  • You are an excellent communicator who builds trust quickly and knows how to speak to business owners in language that resonates with them.
  • You are resilient and thrive in fast-paced on-the-ground environments where no two days look the same.
  • You are commercially minded and understand how to translate product features into clear business value for your customers.
  • You are proactive about sharing field feedback and have a sharp eye for patterns in customer behaviour objections and market opportunities.
  • You have experience selling to or working with businesses in fintech POS systems SaaS or commerce-related products and ideally have sold to restaurants retail stores supermarkets or hospitality businesses.
Your Responsibilities
Field Sales and amp; Lead Qualification
  • You will identify and approach businesses already using WhatsApp for customer interactions qualifying them based on operational fit and readiness.
  • You will build strong relationships with decision-makers including business owners and managers earning their trust before asking for the sale.
Product Demo and amp; Closing
  • You will deliver clear practical and compelling demos of the platform communicating value in terms that matter most to business owners - revenue efficiency and customer experience.
  • You will handle objections confidently and close deals in a timely and professional manner.
Customer Onboarding
  • You will set up new businesses on the platform configuring menus workflows and basic operations to ensure they are ready to start receiving orders immediately.
  • You will own the onboarding experience from start to finish ensuring every customer goes live with confidence and clarity.
Activation and amp; Retention
  • You will follow up post-onboarding to drive active usage and ensure customers are transacting consistently. You will identify and resolve early-stage friction points before they become reasons for customers to disengage.
Feedback and amp; Market Insights
  • You will share structured feedback from the field highlighting patterns in objections feature gaps and customer behaviour to inform product and go-to-market decisions.
What Success looks like
  • Consistently sourcing and qualifying high-quality leads within the first 30 days in the role.
  • Running effective demos and closing deals with a strong and improving conversion rate by day 60.
  • Successfully onboarding customers with minimal friction and a smooth go-live experience by day 90.
  • Customers are actively transacting and showing repeat usage within the first 60 to 90 days post-onboarding.
  • Structured field feedback is shared regularly providing the team with clear and actionable market insights.
To be considered for this role you should have
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sales Business Development or Sales and Operations role.
  • Proven track record of qualifying leads running demos and closing customers in a field sales environment.
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through to onboarding and activation.
  • Familiarity with fintech POS systems SaaS or commerce-related products is a strong advantage.
  • Experience selling to restaurants retail stores supermarkets or hospitality businesses is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication relationship-building and objection-handling skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with the discipline and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced on-the-ground role.
  • A Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field is an advantage.
