Job Summary
Role: Sr Release Test System Integration Tester
Location: Chicago Illinois (Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time (Permanent)
Job Description
Role Overview:
- Responsible for both manual and automated testing activities
- Plays a key role in the release cycle ensuring product quality and performance
- Works closely with developers product teams and business stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Build test plans and validation strategies
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on features and functionality
- Convert requirements into test cases using BDD/TDD techniques
- Implement best testing practices
- Provide risk assessments during design and quality reviews
Testing & Execution:
- Design and execute system-level test plans
- Perform manual and automated testing
- Validate product features using functional specifications
- Track and resolve issues across the SDLC
- Maintain QA dashboards and metrics
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 8 years of experience in testing/QA
- Experience with:
- JIRA and Zephyr
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
- Strong understanding of:
- Multi-tier systems & SOA architecture
- Modern web applications
- Knowledge of networking components (modems routers switches firewalls)
- Strong analytical prioritization and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- System Engineering / System Integration experience
- Telecommunications domain experience
- Scripting skills (Python or Ruby)
- Database knowledge (SQL / NoSQL)
