Trial & Litigation Attorney
About the Role:
The firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Of Counsel with seven or more years of litigation experience to join the Trial & Litigation Practice Group. This role includes a partial focus on eminent domain matters and offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation involving major infrastructure projects and constitutional issues.
The position is available in Los Angeles San Diego or Oakland.
This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who enjoys strategic case development complex legal analysis and collaborative problem solving. You will work closely with senior attorneys across offices while playing a meaningful role in shaping litigation strategy and advancing high-impact cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation matters through multiple phases of the case lifecycle
- Develop litigation strategies in complex and evolving legal matters
- Draft and argue motions including dispositive motions in state and federal courts
- Conduct advanced legal research and develop persuasive written arguments
- Build cases for trial by developing evidence and litigation strategy
- Interview witnesses and prepare deposition strategy
- Take and defend depositions
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices on major litigation matters
- Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the firm s litigation practice
Qualifications:
- Seven or more years of litigation experience
- Excellent academic credentials
- Outstanding analytical and creative thinking abilities
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Significant experience with law and motion practice in state and federal courts
- Experience handling dispositive motions
- Experience preparing matters for trial including evidence development and witness preparation
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- A strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate across teams and offices
