Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Site Watch in Whittier CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a respected cultural institution where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and deliver outstanding customer this people-first role you will support a welcoming environment through clear communication teamwork and integrity while bringing reliability and adaptability to each shift.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors families staff and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures access protocols and appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner documenting relevant details and communicating with local contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout grounds buildings walkways parking areas and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity maintenance concerns and/or security-related issues.
- Monitor entry points and visitor activity assist with directions and general information and help support respectful conduct throughout the location during services events and daily operations.
- Observe and report conditions such as unsecured areas suspicious behavior traffic concerns and/or policy violations while following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
