Location: Rochester NY
Shift Options:
- Day Shift 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM 5:00 PM)
- Night Shift 4x10 Hours (7:00 PM 5:00 AM)
- Alternate Option: 5x8 Hour shifts (Days/Nights)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Charge Nurse in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This role requires strong leadership skills clinical expertise and the ability to oversee unit operations while providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Charge Nurse for each assigned shift overseeing unit operations
- Supervise and support nursing staff including coaching and mentoring
- Coordinate patient care assignments and staffing schedules
- Provide direct patient care in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting as needed
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to clinical changes
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards policies and procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Assist in staff scheduling and workflow management
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records
- Promote a safe efficient and patient-centered care environment
Required Qualifications:
- Active New York RN License (must be in hand)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry
- Recent leadership or Charge Nurse experience within the past year
- Experience with staff scheduling and team coordination
- BLS Certification required
- NIHSS Certification required
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
