Role: Registered Nurse Emergency Room (RN-ER)
Location: Las Cruces NM
Position: Full Time Benefits
Requirements:
-NM RN License.
-Associates degree in Nursing.
-BLS certification is required.
-ACLS PALS and TNCC are required within six months of hire.
Nice to Have:
1 year of ER experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Triage & Patient Assessment
- Perform rapid assessment of patients upon arrival
- Prioritize care based on severity (triage system)
- Collect medical history and evaluate symptoms quickly
- Identify life-threatening conditions immediately
2. Emergency Care & Treatment
- Provide urgent care for trauma cardiac events strokes and other emergencies
- Administer medications IV fluids and blood products
- Perform wound care splinting and basic life support
- Assist with emergency procedures (intubation CPR defibrillation)
3. Monitoring & Critical Response
- Continuously monitor vital signs and patient status
- Recognize and respond to sudden changes in condition
- Operate emergency equipment like cardiac monitors and ventilators
4. Collaboration with Healthcare Team
- Work closely with physicians paramedics and specialists
- Communicate critical patient information clearly and quickly
- Assist during diagnostic tests and procedures
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Document treatments medications and patient responses
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
6. Patient & Family Education
- Provide clear instructions on treatment and discharge care
- Support patients and families during stressful situations
- Educate on follow-up care and medications
7. Crisis Management
- Handle high-pressure unpredictable situations
- Manage multiple patients simultaneously
- Stay calm and make quick critical decisions
8. Safety & Infection Control
- Follow strict infection control and safety protocols
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
