Hours: Maximum 19 hours per week
Position Summary:
The Student Assistant will provide administrative support to the Retail Management Institute through clerical tasks scheduling and front-desk coverage. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented organized student seeking professional office experience. The Assistant will also help with departmental programs by supporting coordination communication and resource management while gaining skills in project support customer service and data management.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and students provide information or assistance
Answer and direct phone calls and emails
Assist with scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars
Prepare proofread and organize documents and correspondence
Assist with planning and logistics for meetings workshops or events
Maintain and update program files databases and online resources
Assist with basic website updates and development.
Provide customer service to students staff and external partners
Collect and organize data for reporting.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong organizational time management and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Detail-oriented reliable and professional
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Willingness to work onsite with a flexible schedule including some evenings.
