About Us
Overview
Seismic is seeking a Software Engineer in Test withexpertisein Python (or similar) to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a key member of the Quality Engineering department you willbe responsible forensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design implementation and execution of automated test suites and supporting test infrastructure and libraries. You will collaborate closely with developers product managers SRE infrastructure and delivery engineers to drive the development of scalable and robust software testing solutions.
Who you are:
Bachelors orMastersdegree in Computer Scienceor equivalent experience
Development experience in Python preferred (Ruby GO JavaScript or similar experience)
Strong understanding of software testing principles methodologies and practices
Experience with test automation frameworks such asPyTest Cypress
Experience building and supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (JenkinsArgoCD or similar)
Experience with version control systems (Github GitHub Actions)
Familiarity with containerization technologies
Knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong communicationand collaboration skills
Hands-on Experience with AI tools like GitHub Copilot enabling faster and moreaccuratetest script generation.
Integrate AI in CI/CD pipelinesto automatically flag untested or risky changes.
What youll be doing:
Design develop andmaintainautomated test suites and frameworks in Python
Including functional and performance testing (UI API Datastores Mobile and Desktop applications)
Execute automated tests and analyze results toidentifydefects performance constraints and areas for improvement
Write test plans and test scenarios execute manual tests where necessary
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies test plans and acceptance criteria
Participate in coverage and design reviewsidentifygaps/issues and provide feedback
Investigate and support incident triage and resolution
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
