Job Summary
Job Title: Traveler Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Long-Term Care (LTC)
Location: Newark New York (Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 5x8-Hour Shifts (40 hours/week)
Shift: Day Shift (06:00 AM 2:00 PM)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Traveler Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents in a long-term care (LTC) setting. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate high-quality care while assisting residents with daily activities and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming and toileting.
- Support patient mobility transfers and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure temperature pulse respirations).
- Assist with feeding hydration and monitor dietary intake.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain infection control standards including proper use of PPE and hand hygiene.
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience required.
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting with a patient-focused approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Certifications
- Active CNA License (New York)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
