JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Altoona seeks to hire camp counselors to assist with Summer 2026 youth academies which may include the following camps:
- Junior Engineers (for grades 3-5) June 8-12 9:00 a.m.- noon
- Future Healthcare Professionals Academy (For High School Students) June 29July 1 9:00 a.m.4:00 p.m.
- Senior Engineers (for grades 6-8) July 20-24 9:00 a.m.- noon
The pay rate for this position is $16.00/hour.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security such as those concerning alcohol and drug use crime prevention the reporting of crimes sexual assault and other matters.
