About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Director or Associate Principal-level Consultant to support the selling and lead the delivery of cuttingedge AI projects in the Life Sciences R&D space with a core focus on Clinical Development Optimization. You will play a critical role in shaping client engagements and operationalizing the delivery of AIenabled solutions including handson execution of IQVIAs next generation of foundation AI simulation capabilities.
This is a high-impact client-facing role for someone who enjoys translating ambitious AI visions into practical highimpact client solutions working closely with data scientists engineers and domain experts. You will work in close partnership with Principals owning daytoday execution while contributing to the growth and evolution of IQVIAs AI consulting capabilities in Pharma R&D.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Business Development
Support and contribute to the sales cycle including opportunity shaping proposal development client presentations and solution design.
Act as a daytoday trusted partner to client stakeholders in Pharma and Life Sciences organizations.
Help identify and develop new opportunities across Clinical R&D particularly where AIdriven simulation and optimization can deliver tangible value.
Contribute to the selling and delivery of novel firstinclass AI projects including solutions that are still being built and require close collaboration with clients.
Support the development of clear compelling client narratives around IQVIAs newest AI solutions and systems.
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead the handson delivery of AI/ML projects focused on clinical development simulation leveraging realworld data (RWD) clinical trial data omics and other structured and unstructured data.
Own daytoday project execution ensuring high quality ontime delivery and strong client satisfaction.
Coordinate and guide crossfunctional project teams including data scientists engineers clinicians and consultants.
Actively contribute to and support the development and application of IQVIAs foundation model initiatives translating them into clientready solutions.
Design and help implement scalable highperformance AI solutions using stateoftheart analytical techniques and platforms.
Work closely with thirdparty technology partners to support successful delivery across the AI and cloud technology stack.
Capability & Practice Contribution
Contribute to the evolution of IQVIAs AI Life Sciences consulting offerings providing deliverydriven feedback to shape repeatable solutions.
Support mentoring and development of junior consultants and technical team members on projects.
Participate in thought leadership activities such as client workshops internal capability building and selected external presentations or publications.
Help foster an agile collaborative and impactdriven delivery culture within project teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
MustHaves
58 years of experience in Consulting AI Data Science or Digital Transformation.
Strong experience delivering complex analytics or AIdriven projects in client environments.
Strong familiarity with AI/ML techniques (supervised unsupervised generative AI LLMs agentic AI etc.).
Domain experience in Life Sciences preferably Pharma R&D Clinical Trials or Clinical Operations.
Experience working directly with senior client stakeholders and supporting strategic discussions.
Proven ability to lead project teams and drive execution in ambiguous fastmoving environments.
Strong ownership mindset and bias toward action.
NicetoHaves
Experience at a toptier consulting firm.
Exposure to regulatory and data governance considerations in clinical data (e.g. HIPAA 21 CFR Part 11).
Experience with RealWorld Evidence (RWE) trial optimization or biomarkerrelated use cases.
Familiarity with cloud and AI platforms such as AWS Azure ML Databricks and foundation model ecosystems (e.g. ChatGPT Claude).
Exposure to agentic AI tools and modern AI development workflows.
