About the Role
We are currently seeking a Practice Assistant to provide high level support to several Partners in our Tax division. This position would be ideally suited to a candidate who enjoys a busy and varied day and is seeking a role where they can help drive a positive team culture whilst contributing to the overall success of the team.
BDOs Tax practice has established itself as a major player within the local marketplace advising many of Queenslands leading public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
Manage Partners calendars and coordinate conflicts;
Travel bookings for all team members;
Process credit card expenses for Managers Directors and Partners;
Review and process client invoices for month-end billing cycle and handle queries;
Co-ordinate internal and external meetings and team events;
Work collaboratively with the other Practice Assistants within Tax;
Co-ordinate new client onboarding process including international conflict checks;
Update client records to ensure compliance standards are met;
Lodgement of client financials on the Tax Agent Portal;
Draft and format documentation for client deliverables.
What youll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Practice/Executive/Legal Assistant in a professional environment;
Ability to build rapport and liaise with executives and peers;
High level organisation and prioritisation skills;
Strong attention to detail and compliance with policy and procedures;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Initiative and problem-solving ability;
Advanced level proficiency in MS Office.
