About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic friendly and self-motivated staff experienced in food services to bring joy to our residents day. As a Food Services Assistant your focus will be to deliver catering needs that meet nutritional and hydration needs special requirements and preferences of our residents.
Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team your focus will be:
- Performing basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals.
- Preparing presenting and serving / deliver food and refreshments ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets
- Plating and presenting food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements
Requirements
- Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate
- Previous experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facility
- Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision
The successful incumbents will need to be available to work across a variety of shifts & days.
