Job Summary
Fairmont St Andrews are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Greenkeeper to join our this role you will support the Deputy Courses Manager and the Courses Manager in maintaining our two golf courses to the highest possible standards ensuring exceptional playing conditions for our guests at all times.
You will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the department and may take on supervisory responsibilities.
What you will be doing:
- Carry out daily maintenance of both golf courses to a high standard
- Operate and maintain machinery safely and effectively in line with health and safety guidelines
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations including COSHH
- Apply fertilisers chemicals and irrigation treatments correctly and responsibly
- Support the upkeep and overall presentation of the golf courses
- Assist in training and developing junior team members
- Supervise and support less experienced colleagues
- Follow all standard operating procedures for greenkeeping
Qualifications :
About You
- Previous experience in a greenkeeping role ideally at a senior level
- Good knowledge of golf course maintenance practices
- Strong understanding of health and safety and COSHH regulations
- Ability to lead by example and support team development
- A proactive hands-on approach with great attention to detail
