About The Role
The Finance Manager will support the Financial Controller in overseeing the companys financial reporting month-end close and finance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting strengthening finance processes and managing a team of accountants across multiple entities.
The role requires strong accounting expertise hands-on experience in financial close and audit processes and the ability to manage operational finance activities in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring all group financial statements are accurate and delivered on schedule.
- Guarantee strict adherence to IFRS/FRS accounting standards internal policies and statutory reporting requirements across all entities.
- Act as the primary liaison for external audits managing the preparation of technical accounting analyses and ensuring the timely resolution of audit queries.
- Partner with Tax and Compliance teams to deliver accurate data for MAS submissions transfer pricing documentation and annual tax filings.
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants fostering a culture of high performance through rigorous review of work and professional development.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities and standardizing workflows to optimize closing timelines and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Operations teams to strengthen financial data pipelines and ensure the accuracy of revenue and cost recognition.
- Support the Financial Controller on ad-hoc projects variance analysis and financial insights to guide leadership in strategic decision-making.
What We Are Looking For
- 68 years of progressive experience in accounting audit or financial reporting ideally with a background in Big 4 audit or a high-growth FinTech/Tech environment.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional qualification (CA CPA or ACCA) is highly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of IFRS / FRS accounting standards with a proven track record of leading month-end closures and managing complex external audits.
- Prior exposure topayment infrastructure FinTech platforms or Blockchain/Web3 ecosystems is a significant advantage.
- High proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite Workday SAP or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for complex financial data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on data integrity and the ability to provide actionable financial insights.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment while maintaining a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams including Product and Engineering.
