Location: New York NY
Shift: Day Shift 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract (W-2)
Pay Rate: $31/hour

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to manage and coordinate all aspects of provider credentialing and medical staff services. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining accurate and up-to-date provider records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes
  • Perform primary source verification for new and existing providers
  • Facilitate provider appointments reappointments and clinical privileging
  • Maintain and update physician and provider credentialing files
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within credentialing systems
  • Monitor credentialing timelines and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct credential audits and ensure adherence to hospital bylaws and policies
  • Track and manage license renewals to ensure timely compliance
  • Utilize credentialing software systems to manage workflows and documentation
  • Provide backup support to other credentialing team members as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (required)
  • Proven experience as a Healthcare Credentialing Specialist
  • Experience credentialing physicians and healthcare providers
  • Strong understanding of credentialing processes compliance and regulatory standards
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with credentialing software systems (e.g. MDStaff or similar)
  • Proficiency in maintaining databases and managing documentation
  • Ability to generate reports and track credentialing status

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with hospital credentialing policies and medical staff bylaws
  • Experience working with accrediting and regulatory agencies
