Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: Modesto CA 95350
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Variable shifts (must be flexible to support operational needs across different shifts)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee all building systems utilities and maintenance operations within a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability safety and efficiency of critical infrastructure supporting daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for all facility systems and utilities
- Oversee steam/boiler systems water systems HVAC electrical compressed air and mechanical infrastructure
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Monitor system performance and proactively mitigate risks
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical utilities
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during system failures and emergencies
- Participate in after-hours and on-call response as needed
- Establish contingency plans and system redundancies to reduce downtime
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols (lockout/tagout PPE) and regulatory standards
- Maintain audit readiness and proper documentation practices
- Manage vendor relationships service contracts and maintenance budgets
- Support capital projects equipment installations and facility expansions
- Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Maintain clean and organized maintenance and mechanical areas
- Foster a culture of accountability urgency and operational excellence
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities plant or equipment management
- Experience in manufacturing healthcare industrial or production environments
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of steam systems boilers HVAC electrical water systems and mechanical infrastructure
- Proven experience developing preventive maintenance programs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing vendors contractors and budgets
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
- OSHA training or relevant technical certifications preferred
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment with high ownership
