Working Hours: 37 hours per a week 8.30am-4:50pm (Monday to Friday). 1 hour lunch break.

Worker Type: Hybrid working (1 day in every 9 days to work from home)

Salary: Starting Salary is 32597 (Level one) rising to 35412 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

About the Role

You will play a key part in ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time. Working within the Family Help MASH (MultiAgency Safeguarding Hub) you will be the first point of contact for new information concerns and requests for support. Your work will help identify needs early safeguard children and connect families with the most appropriate services.

What youll be doing

  • Screening incoming contacts and referrals to understand the needs and circumstances of children and families.
  • Assessing eligibility for Family Help Adolescence and Early Help services by using the continuum of need for guidance.
  • Identifying any safeguarding concerns and escalating appropriately.
  • Recording information and decisionmaking clearly accurately and in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Making timely referrals to internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated support.
  • Providing highquality signposting to community voluntary and universal services when formal intervention is not required.
  • Working collaboratively with professionals across education health police and social care to gather information and support effective decisionmaking.
  • Contributing to a responsive childcentred service that promotes early intervention and positive outcomes

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children young people or families in a support early help or safeguarding context.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret information quickly and confidently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to record information clearly and professionally.
  • Confidence working in a fastpaced multiagency environment.
  • A calm solutionfocused approach and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and thresholds (training can be provided).
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and voice of children and families.
  • Level 3 qualified or equivalent

-A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
