We are seeking an inspiring Music Teacher to join a creative and energetic Performing Arts department in Middlesbrough. The Role
As a Music Teacher you will lead a variety of practical and theoretical sessions across KS3 and KS4. You will join a department that balances traditional musicianship with modern technology with the potential to lead BTEC Tech Award in Music Practice or GCSE Music for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Coaching: Guiding students in developing their instrumental and vocal skills both as soloists and in ensembles.
Composition & Theory: Teaching the building blocks of music from notation and harmony to song-writing and film scoring.
Music Technology: Utilizing industry-standard software (such as Logic Pro Sibelius or GarageBand) to engage students in digital production.
Extra-Curricular Leadership: Running school choirs bands or orchestra rehearsals and coordinating seasonal concerts and community performances.
Curriculum Innovation: Delivering a diverse curriculum that explores global music styles history and the modern music industry.

About You
We are looking for a practitioner who is as comfortable conducting an ensemble as they are troubleshooting a MIDI keyboard.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a relevant degree in Music or Music Production.
Is a skilled multi-instrumentalist or vocalist with a strong command of music theory.
Has experience delivering high-impact lessons for AQA Edexcel or BTEC specifications.
Is an effective communicator who can inspire students of all musical backgrounds and abilities.
