Job Summary
As a Credit Underwriting Specialist at Nordiska you will play a key role in ensuring high quality credit decisions across both private and SME segments. You will combine analytical expertise with sound business judgment contributing to sustainable and well-founded lending decisions. At the same time you will help shape how we build and scale our Credit Operations function going forward.

About the Role
In the role as Credit Underwriting Specialist you will be central to Nordiskas credit decision process ensuring robust compliant and commercially sound underwriting across multiple markets. You will work closely with Analytics and business stakeholders contributing both to individual credit decisions and to the continuous development of models processes and tools. This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape Credit Operations from the ground up.
In the role you will:
Perform advanced manual credit assessments across private and SME segments in multiple markets
Analyze credit reports financial statements cash flows and business models
Assess risk exposure collateral and define appropriate credit limits
Prepare and present decision-making material for credit approvals
Collaborate closely with business teams and client-responsible stakeholders to ensure balanced decisions
Ensure all credit decisions comply with internal policies regulatory requirements and guidelines
Contribute to the development of processes routines and system support
Your Professional Profile
You are a structured and detail-oriented professional with a strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can take ownership and contribute to building something new. With strong communication skills you are comfortable collaborating across teams and translating complex analysis into clear actionable insights.
We believe that you have:
A university degree in finance economics statistics or a related field
Experience in credit underwriting or credit risk assessment
Strong analytical skills and experience working with financial data
Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks
Experience working with credit tools and decision-support systems
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English (additional languages are a plus)
Experience from multiple markets and/or building processes or functions is considered a merit
