Forest Supply Chain Specialist

What you can expect:
Preferred by Nature is looking for a Forestry Supply Chain Specialist in Viet Nam to support certification services and strengthen responsible forestry practices. You will conduct audits manage certification processes and work closely with clients to ensure compliance with sustainability standards. This role combines fieldwork stakeholder engagement and project coordination contributing directly to improved forest management and sustainable supply chains.
Working with us is never routine so the first year you can expect the following areas to be central to your work.
Conduct SBP FSC and PEFC certification audits and assessments
Plan and manage audit schedules and logistics
Prepare audit reports and documentation
Manage certification processes for assigned client portfolio
Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors
Provide client guidance on certification standards and requirements
Support operational processes and administrative coordination
Your first year with us
Within three months you will:
Build understanding of Preferred by Nature certification systems and audit procedures
Support audit planning scheduling and report drafting
Establish relationships with internal teams and key clients
Within six months you will:
Conduct desk audits and participate in on-site audits
Manage selected certification projects and audit assignments
Provide client guidance on certification processes
Within one year you will:
Independently manage a portfolio of certification clients
Lead full audit cycles from planning to reporting
Contribute to improving audit efficiency and service delivery
Important that you:
Have a degree in forestry biology environmental management or related field
Bring approximately three years of experience in forestry or environmental management
Are comfortable conducting audits and field visits
Have strong communication skills in Vietnamese and English
Are comfortable working independently and travelling nationwide
Bring strong integrity and professionalism in auditing work
Are motivated by sustainability and Preferred by Natures mission
Would also be great but not necessary if you:
Have experience with SBP FSC or PEFC certification
Have previous auditing experience
Have experience working with certification or sustainability standards
