The successful candidate will bring strong conveyancing experience and thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential and commercial real estate files from start to finish
- Handle residential and commercial conveyancing transactions
- Prepare loan and security documentation
- Conduct title and off-title due diligence searches including pre- and post-registration searches
- Review and process purchase and sale agreements deposits and payouts
- Prepare trust documentation and manage trust transactions
- Draft and assist with easements covenants and statutory rights of way
- Prepare mortgage discharges and reporting letters
- Coordinate and manage transaction closings
- Liaise with clients financial institutions realtors and other stakeholders
- Provide general support to the real estate practice group
Qualifications & Experience
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate within a Canadian law firm
- Strong working knowledge of conveyancing processes and real estate transactions
- Experience with BC Online and myLTSA
- Advanced proficiency with NetDocs Microsoft Office (Word Excel) and Adobe
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
