How youll contribute
A Maintenance Mechanic IIwho excels in this role:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital infrastructure critical systems and clinical equipment to support a safe functional care environment.
- Inspect troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical HVAC plumbing and medical support systems; escalate complex issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Respond promptly to service requests across patient care and support areas prioritizing work that impacts patient safety infection control and staff operations.
- Maintain and service boilers HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure proper temperature air quality pressure relationships and regulatory compliance.
- Support compliance with Life Safety Code and Environment of Care standards assisting with inspections documentation and readiness activities.
- Perform general facility repairs including patient rooms and clinical areas (e.g. beds carts lighting drywall and finishes) ensuring minimal disruption to care delivery.
- Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment including power tools and grounds/snow removal equipment to ensure facility accessibility and safety.
- Follow all safety protocols infection prevention measures and HIPAA requirements while maintaining accurate maintenance records and work documentation.
- Promote a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement supporting team training regulatory readiness and high-quality patient care environments.

What were looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in facilities healthcare or a related environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to assess situations and make sound timely decisions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in high-pressure or fast-paced environments taking appropriate action when needed.
- Valid state drivers license in good standing.
- Technical knowledge or certification in at least one skilled trade area (e.g. electrical plumbing HVAC or boiler systems).
- Working knowledge of building systems equipment maintenance and repair practices preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong commitment to safety compliance and maintaining a reliable environment that supports patient care.
