Our client is hiring an Ocean Import Specialist II based in Chicago IL. The role involves coordinating end-to-end ocean import shipments managing required shipping documentation and working with internal teams and overseas partners to support on-time vessel departures and customs clearance.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end ocean shipments ensuring accurate documentation and on-time vessel departures.
- Manage bills of lading (B/L) commercial invoices and packing lists in compliance with carrier and customer requirements.
- Prepare and provide shipping documentation to support customs clearance including commercial invoices packing lists bills of lading certificates of origin and shippers export declarations.
- Coordinate international cargo movements by managing documentation flow and shipment-related information across internal teams and overseas partners.
Qualifications
- 13 years of experience in ocean import operations freight forwarding or international logistics.
- Ability to coordinate end-to-end ocean shipments ensuring accurate documentation and on-time vessel departures.
- Experience managing bills of lading (B/L) commercial invoices and packing lists in compliance with carrier and customer requirements.
- Ability to prepare and provide required shipping documentation to support customs clearance including commercial invoices packing lists bills of lading certificates of origin and shippers export declarations.
- Experience coordinating international cargo movements by managing documentation flow and shipment-related information across internal teams and overseas partners.
- English and Korean bilingual (preferred).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.

The base salary range for this role is $60000$65000 yearly. Your base salary will depend on your experience qualifications and skills.
