Job Summary

3 Month Contract With A Local Authority

Role Overview

This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a varied caseload of planning and development matters. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice on planning law issues and support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on all aspects of planning and environmental law
Draft and review planning agreements (including Section 106 agreements)
Advise on planning applications appeals and enforcement matters
Support officers and stakeholders with legal input on planning policy and decisions
Attend Planning Committee meetings where required (desirable not essential)
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks

Requirements

Qualified solicitor barrister or legal executive in England & Wales
Demonstrable experience in planning law (local authority experience desirable)
Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures
Ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment
Excellent communication and drafting skills
