Role Overview
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a varied caseload of planning and development matters. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice on planning law issues and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on all aspects of planning and environmental law
- Draft and review planning agreements (including Section 106 agreements)
- Advise on planning applications appeals and enforcement matters
- Support officers and stakeholders with legal input on planning policy and decisions
- Attend Planning Committee meetings where required (desirable not essential)
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor barrister or legal executive in England & Wales
- Demonstrable experience in planning law (local authority experience desirable)
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures
- Ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
