Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center project)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon India for an exciting data center this role you will be responsible for designing developing and optimizing mechanical systems and infrastructure components that are critical to data center operations. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet stringent performance reliability and efficiency standards.

• Design and develop mechanical systems for data center infrastructure including cooling power distribution and structural components using industry-standard CAD software
• Conduct thermal analysis and modeling to optimize cooling efficiency and ensure proper heat dissipation within data center environments
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and structural simulations to validate designs and ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements
• Develop detailed technical drawings specifications and documentation in accordance with industry standards and best practices
• Collaborate with electrical civil and IT teams to integrate mechanical systems with overall data center architecture
• Analyze and resolve design challenges through systematic problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Ensure designs comply with relevant data center standards building codes and regulatory requirements
• Participate in design reviews providing technical input and recommendations for continuous improvement
• Support project planning and scheduling to ensure timely delivery of design milestones
• Maintain organized project documentation and maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the design process

Qualifications :

• Proficiency in mechanical CAD software such as AutoCAD SolidWorks or CATIA
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems design and thermal management solutions
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and structural analysis tools
• Solid understanding of data center infrastructure and mechanical systems
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in organized project-based environments
• Experience with data center design standards such as ASHRAE or TIA-942 (preferred)
• Background in modular or scalable design solutions (preferred)
• Experience with cost optimization and value engineering (preferred)
• Familiarity with LEED or other sustainability certifications (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines

• Knowledge of power distribution systems and electrical integration in data centers
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills with familiarity with industry standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set
