Job Summary

Are you passionate about real-time industrial systems and highquality software engineering
Join a team developing mission critical real time applications that support power system stability and contribute to the energy transition.

You will join a dynamic team responsible for developing and maintaining a business critical SCADA system operating 24/7 and used to balance and monitor a large portfolio of energy assets across multiple countries.
The system continuously evolves to integrate an increasing number of smaller flexible and decentralized assets.

Your work will involve developing tools that support:

  • Real time control of various energy production assets;
  • Integration of flexibility resources;
  • Compliance with European grid codes;
  • Communication between Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and internal real-time systems;
  • Monitoring production assets and available capacities;
  • Real time computation of setpoints based on input signals such as FCR aFRR and mFRR.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the internal SCADA platform used for real time system balancing and monitoring.
  • Work on both backend (SCIL) and frontend (HTML5 CSS JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Apply architectural principles and software craftsmanship practices (SOLID DRY KISS YAGNI).
  • Build scalable robust and maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate in an Agile/SAFe environment with analysts operators and technical teams.
  • Participate in an on call rotation (after onboarding) to ensure availability for 24/7 operations.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience:

  • Masters degree in IT engineering electronics electromechanics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong industrial mindset with solid software engineering foundations (architecture design patterns).
  • Understanding of electricity production and grid operation basics.
  • Backend: SCIL.
  • Frontend: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Version control & CI/CD (GitHub or similar).
  • Awareness of ICS/OT cybersecurity principles (NIS2 alignment).

Soft Skills:

  • Proactive structured reliable in high responsibility environments.
  • Strong sense of ownership: able to deliver quick fixes and long term solutions.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively across departments.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & spoken).
  • Ability to self learn and propose improvements.
