Job Summary

Travel with survey crew to civil engineering project sites
Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station to gather field survey data
Place stakes at designated points and drive them into ground at specified elevation
Support survey staff with processing survey data and performing simple surveying calculations

Qualifications :

Enrollment in a two-year civil survey technician program civil engineering program or related field or strong interest in pursuing land surveying preferred
Completion of coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD preferred
Able to work for extended periods of time in outdoor conditions
Valid drivers license with good driving record
Availability for occasional overnight travel
