With 7 years of consistent growth were building a world-class performance marketing operation and need an exceptional leader to spearhead this expansion.
Position Summary
We are looking for a results-driven highly accountable Director of Performance Marketing to lead our marketing performance function in a fast-paced around-the-clock e-commerce environment. This is not mainly a hands-on keyboard technical role its a senior leadership position focused on people management operational excellence and delivering measurable business outcomes.
You will own the marketing performance function end-to-end managing a team that operates across European and North American time zones creating clear processes and playbooks and ensuring every initiative has success criteria KPIs and clear accountability. Your mission: build a world-class team ensure operational precision and drive predictable scalable growth.
Responsibilities & Ownership
Team Building & Leadership
Manage recruiting agencies to identify and hire top-tier talent.
Build and manage a team of Funnel- CRM- & marketing managers as well as Media Buyers providing 7-day-a-week coverage across European and North American time zones.
Establish team structure roles and responsibilities for optimal funnel oversight and performance.
Develop comprehensive training programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Foster a high-performance accountability-focused culture driven by measurable results and continuous improvement.
Performance Marketing Operations
Own P&L responsibility for all campaigns ensuring profitability and ROI.
Develop and execute strategies to optimize funnel performance conversion rates and customer lifetime value.
Manage relationships and performance of external affiliate partners.
Oversee funnel optimization A/B testing and data-driven conversion improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (from your team)
Partner with our CRM team to optimize the customer journey and data flow to optimize routing and reduce transaction friction.
Work with developers to implement tracking landing pages and funnel enhancements.
Collaborate with graphic designers to produce high-converting creative assets.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company objectives.
Establish KPIs reporting frameworks and performance monitoring systems to track and drive results.
Manage marketing budgets ensuring efficient allocation of capital.
Stay ahead of industry trends platform updates and competitor moves to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
Proven Leadership: 7 years in performance marketing with at least 3 years in a senior people-management role.
Proven track record: Running direct-to-consumer performance marketing in high-volume physical product businesses (e.g. health supplements consumer goods) or Forex/Crypto with daily sales volumes exceeding 1000 orders
Team building:Has hired trained and managed 610 funnel managers or media buyers within 6 months in a high-pressure KPI-driven environment.
E-commerce Experience: Deep understanding of e-commerce dynamics especially in high-velocity always-on businesses.
Process Builder: Track record of creating and implementing marketing playbooks processes and operational frameworks.
Accountability Culture: Experience building teams that take ownership for results with clear performance measurement and follow-through.
Data-Informed: Comfortable making consequent decisions based on data and KPIs with the ability to interpret reports and guide optimization efforts.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate expectations outcomes and results to both team members and executives.
Resilience & Agility: Thrives in a high-pressure fast-moving environment with competing priorities.
Success Metrics for the Role
Team Hiring & Retention: Build and retain a team of 610 high-performing funnel managers within the first 6 months ensuring 7-day coverage across European and North American time zones.
Funnel Performance Gains: Deliver 20% efficiency improvements in funnel performance within the first year through process optimization testing and team-driven execution.
Revenue & Profitability: Consistently meet or exceed revenue growth targets while improving profitability across all marketing funnels and campaigns.
Cross-Market Expansion: Successfully launch and scale funnels into new markets achieving agreed-upon performance benchmarks and ROI.
Team Development & Accountability: Maintain high team engagement skill growth and adherence to KPIs with clear ownership for results at both individual and team levels.
