Community Health Partners is seeking aHospitalistto join the inpatient team at Hocking Valley Community Hospital a community-based facility serving a tourist and community patient population in southeast Ohio.
Position Highlights
- Schedule:7 on / 7 off with 24 hour responsibility
- Typical workload averages810 hours per day
- Some weekend coverage required
- Patient Volume:3 admissions per day
- Beds:16 total (med/surg observation swing)
- Staffing Ratios:
- Med/Surg: 5:1
- SCU/ICU: 2:1
- Adult inpatient care including ICU coverage
- Required procedures:intubation central lines and critical care
Ideal Candidate
- Comfortable practicing in a rural hospital setting
- Collaborative respectful of medical staff and supportive of administration
- Committed to high-quality community-focused care
Education & Training
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of anACGME or AOA accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
Licensure & Certification
- Eligible for or holding anactive Ohio medical license
- Board certified or board eligiblein Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- ACLS and BLS certificationrequired (ATLS preferred if applicable)
Clinical Experience & Skills
- Experience inadult inpatient hospital medicine
- Comfortable managingICU level patientsin a community hospital setting
