Job Summary

Reporting to the Director ofSilicon Architecture the SoC Architectsareresponsible forthe designspecificationmodellingand integrationof sub-systemswithincomplexhighperformanceand highly integrated silicondevicesat the forefront of AI acceleration technology.
The role involvesclosecollaboration with othergroups includingarchitecturesilicon designverificationhardwareand softwareteams.
The Team
The Silicon Architecture Teamsits within SoC architectsareresponsible forthe architectural specificationintegrationmodellingvalidationand evaluationofnumerouscriticalsub-systemsincluding high-speed interfacesforourupcomingAI acceleration platforms.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Distillingproductrequirementsand their effects on SoC/platform design trade-offs
- Collaboratingwithprocessor SoC and systemarchitectstodetermineoptimalsolutions
- Understanding of how tocollaboratewith silicon designverificationand hardwareengineerstodemonstrateawareness andoptions forimplementationcorrectness
- Evaluating potentialhard and softthird-partyIPand liaising withthird party IP vendors
- Design and specification ofperformantSoC sub-systemsand their associated integrations
- Contribute to the silicon bring-upcharacterisationand evaluationactivities asrequired
- Silicon Architecture Team representation within cross-functional working groups
- Implement improvements to infrastructure and processes
- Assistwithcomplexdebugging activities
- Mentors Engineerswith technical queries
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Degree inElectronic EngineeringComputerScienceor related subject
- Solid understanding of computer/SoCarchitecture
- Excellent communication skills
- Good experiencein the writing of technical specifications
- Knowledge of RTL development and verification processes
- Be highly motivated aself-starter and a team player
- Ability to work across teams and programming languages
Desirable
- Experiencein thetechnicalspecification of complexsiliconSoC devices
- Experience ofmachine learning ormassively parallel computing systems
- Verilog
- Low-level softwareexperience embedded C
- Knowledge of one or more of DDR PCIe Ethernet on-chip networks
