Job Summary
Our team is at the forefront of the artificial intelligence revolution enabling innovators from all industries and sectors to expand human potential with availability of specialised artificial intelligence compute will be a decisive factor in AIs rate of innovators to go further we do really makes a difference. Reporting to the Director of Silicon Architecture the SoC Architects are responsible for the design specification modelling and integration of sub-systems within complex high performance and highly integrated silicon devices at the forefront of AI acceleration technology.
The role involvesclosecollaboration with othergroups includingarchitecturesilicon designverificationhardwareand softwareteams.
The Team
The Silicon Architecture Teamsits within SoC architectsareresponsible forthe architectural specificationintegrationmodellingvalidationand evaluationofnumerouscriticalsub-systemsincluding high-speed interfacesforourupcomingAI acceleration platforms.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Distillingproductrequirementsand their effects on SoC/platform design trade-offs
- Collaboratingwithprocessor SoC and systemarchitectsto determine optimal solutions
- Collaborating with silicon designverificationand hardwareengineersto ensureimplementationcorrectness
- Evaluating potentialhard and softthird-partyIPand liaising withthird party IP vendors
- Design and specification ofperformantSoC sub-systemsand their associated integrations
- Contribute to the silicon bring-upcharacterisationand evaluationactivities as required
- Silicon Architecture Team representation within cross-functional working groups
- Implement discussed infrastructure and processesimprovementsagreed with team
- Assist with debugging activities
- Mentoring junior engineers
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Degree inElectronic EngineeringComputerScienceor related subject
- Solid understanding of computer/SoCarchitecture
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced in the writing of technical specifications
- Knowledge of RTL development and verification processes
- Be highly motivated aself-starter and a team player
- Ability to work across teams and programming languages
Desirable
- Experiencein thetechnicalspecification ofsiliconSoC devices
- Experience ofmachine learning ormassively parallel computing systems
- Verilog
- Low-level softwareexperience embedded C
- Knowledge of one or more of DDR PCIe Ethernet on-chip networks
