Job Description: Oracle ASAP Support Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ASAP Support Developer to join our OSS/BSS team. The role involves maintaining customizing and enhancing Oracles Automated Service Activation Platform (ASAP) to support telecom service provisioning. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Communications stack hands on development skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex activation workflows in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for Oracle ASAP in production and staging environments.
- Monitor activation processes identify failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensure high availability and performance of ASAP services.
- Coordinate with operations teams for incident resolution and service restoration.
Development & Customization
- Design develop and implement custom cartridges activation scripts and workflows.
- Extend ASAP functionality to support new telecom services (voice data broadband IPTV etc.).
- Integrate ASAP with upstream OSS/BSS systems (e.g. Oracle UIM Siebel CRM BRM).
- Optimize provisioning flows for scalability and efficiency.
Deployment & Maintenance
- Perform installation configuration and upgrades of Oracle ASAP components.
- Manage cartridge deployments versioning and rollback strategies.
- Apply patches and coordinate with Oracle support for product fixes.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with architects business analysts and network engineers to translate service requirements into activation logic.
Document technical designs workflows and operational procedures.
Provide knowledge transfer and training to support teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands on experience with Oracle ASAP (cartridge development activation scripts workflow design).
Knowledge of Oracle Communications Suite (UIM OSM BRM Siebel CRM).
Proficiency in Java C/C Shell scripting XML XSLT for cartridge and workflow development.
Experience with telecom domain provisioning (wireline wireless broadband).
